My coloured days

On red days                       

I feel mad,

Like friends                                      

Being mean.

I burst into              

Flames at school.

On yellow days

I feel happy,

Like the sunshine

Bursting through,

The clouds at the

Beach.

On orange days I feel

Relaxed,

Like lying on

The clouds,

After a long day at school.

 

On pink days

I feel excited,

Like when my parents

took me on a surprise holiday.

On purple days

I feel nervous,

like going on stage and doing

a play at school.

On blue days

I feel sad,

like rain

falling softly on the footpath outside.

Mid Winter Christmas Tree Challenge

Today we had another collaborative challenge! We had so much fun collaborating with each other to successfully build a christmas tree in only 8 minutes!

We had to create a mid winter christmas tree for our hub using the following materials:

2 metres of tape
2 metres of string
5 colours of A4 paper
1 square of tinfoil
10 sheets of A1 newspaper
Scissors

Our success criteria was:

The christmas tree is able to stand by itself
There will be at least 4 branches
The christmas tree is a traditional christmas tree shape
There are attractive decorations on our christmas tress

Our teachers judged our christmas trees on the following criteria: 

Height of tree
Strength of branches
Attractiveness of decorations

Going to Australia

In the holidays I went to Australia with my family. We went for my nonnas birthday. On the first day I went to the zoo we saw the pandas, otters and flamingos the next day I went to the shops and bought 2 pairs of shoes and a ipod cover. On the third day I went to her party. she had a cake with blue roses and it was delicious. The pools and I went down the new waterslide lots of times. On the last day before we left we went to a theme park my favorite rides were the moon bikes and the quad bikes. we went there and back by plane. I was excited to go and happy there but I missed home and my cats.
