Numeracy

We have been unpacking what the difference is between Knowledge and Strategy in Numeracy.

We decided that...

Knowledge is things we know off the top of our head, really quickly. Some examples are basic facts, knowing the symbols for fractions and number ordering.

Strategy is when we have problems we need to solve using our knowledge. We won't know the answer off the top of our heads and need to use a strategy to find the answer.

We have been focusing on understanding what we already know and what our gaps are in knowledge, then learning about and practicing the areas that are goals for us.

You can find games to practice these knowledge goals on the learner hub.
