One day there was people who were waiting for a bus. They were waiting and waiting until the bus came. They read the sign and it will come at 1 to 4. It came to 5 to 9 and they had left. The bus driver did not see them because he was late to pick up them. They went to a different bus. It came to 1 to 4 and they went on that bus. They took them anywhere. Then they went down the street and they saw a dog. The people and the dog barked at them. They left.

I am in a shop when I get bought. I go to someone's house. Hey I am ready to go. Here I am going to space. I am going. Ii am going in circles. I am going fast. Hey it's fun wewewe. I am going fast like a shooting star. I am as yellow as a star. And  I am bright. Then sometimes I disappear in the blue sky. I am as like a rainbow shining like a yellow star. I am bright when I get up some times I disappear back down into the place and I pop all the way down. I just go boom and my friends come with me. It was fun together. It was fun. I like it. 

Traffic light drink!

• First you need a cup
• Next you need water and orange juice
• Third you need red thriftee
• Fourth you need green food colouring
• Then you need a straw

• Step 1 get the cup
• Step 2 pour the juice in the cup
• step 3 pour the thriftee in with the juice
• Then you can drink your traffic light drink.

Traffic Light Drink!

Today we had an exciting science experiment... we learned how to make a traffic light drink.

It was interesting to see that the drink can have different layers of colour.

Painting with straws: Part 1

We have been having a go at creating abstract paintings by blowing through straws.

We watched these videos and had lots of time to think about and discuss this new technique. Then we had a go using water on the concrete outside:

Then we practiced this technique using paint on paper. It was more tricky than we thought!

What are we cooking today?

It certainly smells pretty yummy in the kitchens at Stonefields this morning! We have two break through groups cooking today. We have build our knowledge about the recipes and the ingredients we need. Today we are applying our understanding by cooking macaroni cheese and chocolate chip cookies. Yum! Yum!

Today we got a chance to explore spelling city! 

This is going to be part of our rotation of weekly activities to help us improve our literacy learning.  It's going to be used when we learn spelling rules, practice handwriting and dance mat typing.

Clown Day

Yesterday, Miss Campbell's literacy groups found out what it was like to be a clown. Today we have been writing about our day as a clown.
