How can we learn about numeracy and winter at the same time?!

Today we learned what SYMMETRY means...

Did you know that symmetry is when something is the same on both sides.  It's like it is reflecting or mirroring itself.

You can check if something is symmetrical by drawing a line down the middle.  This is called a line of symmetry.

To apply our understanding we then made snowflakes.  We found that sometimes there can be more than one line of symmetry!

  1. What lovely snowflakes. They must have been so much fun to make. What a great way to learn about symmetry.
    Keep up the good work.
